Since ITB's and EFI is out of my budget, xchipx suggested bike carbs. Since I already have experience with bike carbs on my bike, the swap would be pretty easy, apart from making a new intake manifold. But I didn't find anything on this particular swap and pros and cons of bike carbs vs single carb. Any thoughts?

I say go for it,4 throttle plates close to the head have got to better than 1 further away with differing lenght runners.If you mucked with bike carbs you know jets are cheap so a little time spent should get a decently runnning engine on the cheap-I'd stay with vacuum slides for drivability btw.I'd actually recommend yamaha RX1 sled carbs as they have a side draft design as opposed to the steeper angled downdrafts and will make it much easier to mount,straight shot into the head and the hood will clear.

Old thread bumping...

I used 1980's-90's Suzuki GS1100/GSX1100 4 carb rack and jet it to your 4 banger as they only cost $100 for the setup and they have Stage 1-3 kits for these too.

Tuning depends on if you plan to run 1 carb per cyl or the 4 carbs feed a common plenum.

1per cyl requires carb syncing but you can tune individually per cyl and make more power and throttle response is higher.

4common fed acts as a large carb feeding a big area where they all draw from, no tuning needed and prob get a some lag but wont be as sensitive.
