Did anyone try this out? It is claimed that the Mazda B2200 truck (prior to 1992) mirrors are a direct fit for MK1's.

They go for less than $35 a pair with free shipping from ebay. Seems like a good alternative to the stock ones (seem larger and the fact that they fold in). If these indeed are a direct bolt-on I am really considering it. Wanted to check if anyone else tried them before.

Yea I think they look great. Which ones did you get from ebay? Link? Also, if you are going to look around at the junkyard for one, certainly keep me updated on its fitment! Its not everyday sprints have a direct bolt on alternative

I happen to have a spare set of mazda mirrors in the garage, I'll have to dig one out and test it now.

FWIW b2000, b2200, b2600, b2600i all use the same doors and mirrors.

Good find, they seem to look more "stock-ish". But would these fit a MK1 Sprint? I am still leaning towards the Mazda mirrors since they can fold in (something I could certainly use when parking in NY).

Ok guys I have finally gotten hold of the mirror and installed on one side (still in its original black paint). Well it is a practical alternative for the MK1 mirrors (bigger view), but looks wise I think it doesn't compliment the car as a whole. So I have put back the original one. Let me know what you all think. At least I was able to verify that it indeed IS a direct bolt on (you will need to put it on without the outer triangle-like plate for it though, but that piece is useless when this mirror gets installed).

P.S. It was a mirror for a 1991 Mazda B2200
