 Post subject: Side mirror scew size

Stop ay ACE hardware but cant find the correct screws that fits. Must be some secret metric size - anyone?

You did not specify year/model you are looking for.

Some Geos/Suzuki variants use the same short pan head screws that are used to attach the dash panel trims. You can try one to see if it threads properly. Other variants use a longer, narrower diameter screw.

Your local hardware store may not carry suitable metric course thread self tapping screws. If you end up trying to use SAE sized threaded fasteners, you may end up splitting the plastic tubes attached to the mirror when you tighten them.

i'm pretty sure that they are 5mm x 1.25 and something like 40 or 50 mm long.
