Just wondering if anyone else is looking. I was talking to a guy, might be able to get a good price, I don't know.

Would be sweet, if they don't cost as much as a custom set from the local exhaust shop...

Why not buy the SuzukiRD ones for around $250? They're stainless as well.

This is a use of the word "stainless" that I've never encountered before. Mine looked like shit in about a week.

they must have been nickle plated and not stainless steel ..... if they turned blue and not gold/brown they were chrome/nickle plated

Suzukird sends out half their headers crappy and half ok, take a look at product reviews.
Genie sends out sweet stuff people love.

Group buy!

I'd buy one. Count me in from IRAQ.

It says 90+ GTI but it's the same as an 89 GTI, isn't it? Pretty sure same.

Marcor doesn't stock Genie anymore, but I"ll contact these guys. 11 in stock :)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Stainless???

Don't fall for the shill info some goofus spreads around here. Their headers are 90% of the time shit, 5% spray painted half assed, and 5% of the time what you get in the picture.

It all depends on how much or how little english the worker knows, how many cervasas he's had that day, how many minutes of welding experience, how much chrome is left in the vat(when their cousin decides to half ass chrome it), and then you have to figure out if their harbour freight grinder with it's original grinding disc is functioning, along with if the lazy bum who's making it feels like actually using it. :drunk:

After all was said and done that header cost me $400-500 to fix that piece of shit. So it wouldn't fall off, leak, look like shit, crack, and do all of the above within a year. The guy I took it to, to get the welding finished/repaired, even asked where I got it from because it looked to rough to be from China, he chuckled when I told him it was made by some Mexicans in Miami...

Genie is cheap compared to SRD, and I'm willing to bet they have better customer service...

Eh, don't feel bad, if you buy it, and decide it's not right, you get a 30% restocking fee minus what you paid for shipping and you have to pay return freight to them. Then you have to wait for them to not have a "cold" or be out "racing" for them to process your return. That's even if you get a half finished part, which will fail within a month, they will just tell you, "It will work..."

There is no way in hell their headers are stainless, maybe if you blow the old man who runs the place...

Edit:

I bought one of their punched out Throttle Bodies, it needs new bushings, it needs new seals, it was spray bombed, it had a air powered chop saw used on the throttle shaft(it was never smoothed out), so it ripped up the bushings, the bushings had epoxy applied to remove the play in them.

I got this at the same time as the header, if SRD makes it, modified it, or touches it, I will not buy it. Suprfly makes overbored throttlebodies, and I can only reccomend his work, as it is always topnotch.

I see Genie has gone up. Marcor sold me one a while back for $250.00 shipped. But I love my Genie. Specially after I ceramic coated it.

Need a few days to nail down a price.

My mail to the supplier ends up in his spam box all the time. This thread isn't dying. If I can't get anything done, I'll let you guys know.

Mine's a GTi. Yes, shipping would be to the homefront (Richland, WA, USA) but I am headed to IRAQ in the next few weeks from Ft. Stewart, GA.

I'd be in for one for a 1990 Swift GT depending on cost.

They are in stock and are AU$290 each plus AU$120 each for air mail (approx 1 week delivery) or AU$75 by sea (approx 12 weeks for delivery)

I dunno, that's a fair price with sea shipping. What do you guys think?

Does it get cheaper the more that get shipped at the same time? Are these stainless? Or even coated? I didn't see what the official group buy product would be.

I think I'd be interested but I have a couple questions.

1. Does this header come with an O2 senser port?
2. Is the outlet side 2"?
3. Is this a complete header or will I need to add in a down tube?
4. Will there be room for a 2" high flow CAT after installation?
5. What coating comes on them?
6. Can I expect an increase of performance over my Calmini header?

I've heard the reputation of Genie headers, but I know nothing else other than they are a hot item with Swifters.

Thanks for any info about them. 8)
