It does get up and move, but with all of the hardware and driveline, it is not as fast as you might think. But I probably do weigh less then your stock AWD Eclipse. The Samurai starts off at about 2,000 lbs, and the Eclipse AWD is around 3,300 lbs I think.

I would love to get some weights for the Zuk, and some time slips. All in good time.

Actually, I really want to get it into some dunes!

Probably going to build up a Swift next as I'm going to be commuting a good distance in the near future. Might as well have something fun. :-) My current daily driver is a Sidekick, and I have had my fill with that junky 1600 8-valve motor. normally they are fine, but mine has a blow-by issue. I hate oil leaks! Besides it has about a gillion miles on it.

Anyhow, I look forward to being a Swift owner in the near future. Perhaps a turbo one shortly after.

-Wayne

Wayne please keep my friend in mind if you need a motor for your Swift/Metro. He can really use the money for the suspension on his truck. We are plagued with bent front leaves and don't like shackle reversals.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Proud owner 2000 Metro poor mans special edition, 1984 Suzuki SJ410 poor mans rockcrawler (needs turbo 1L), 1992 Ford Aerostar Cargo van(The big white piggy, needs more dents and scars), 1964 POS Baja VW (needs to be put back together).

whoooa. ok, so you got a 10 sec minizuki, is this a daily driver? you seem to have droped a lot of cash in this one, should be major fun. my car has a g16b twincam conversion with bd14 cams and gr a program. i have a gar t3 sitting idle so im thinking of throwing it on. i know ill have to change the program and maybee injectors.Do you think i really need a large intercooler? mine is off a turbo starlet, and i dont want to go too big and increase the lag im sure to get from the turbo ( ar/42)

I am hoping it will be quick, and have only had it on the road once. Daily driver maybe. Gave me a bit of a supprise, rev limit at 4000rpm and boost set at 10psi it broke traction in third under acceleration (has run 23psi on the dyno).
Have done 95% of mods myself.
My rear housing is a .64 and the inlet is.60 (from memory), also have a .49 rear housing to test. I think use the intercooler you have, untill you reach its limit. You didn't mention if your turbo is BB or the bush type, the BB type would give you very little lag.
Hope to do at least a 13sec quater (optimist).

my turbo is from the escort rs turbo, a bush type i think. i think you will definatly drop below 13s on the quater cause i know of someone runing a swift gti g13b with a cultus intake and a td04/tdo5 combo that has gone as far as 12.8 on the quater on 7to8 psi of boost with the stock comp. ratio

Hey, you are doing a great job on your car :P

Can you please tell me what kind/brand/make and/or model MAPsensor and connector you are using (how expensive?). Would help us a lot, thanx!

Ok thanks dimi
the MAP sensor is a GM type, 3 bar map sensor... this particular sensor came with the Stand alone system.

One of the best things about the stand alone system is that i get rid of that blasted restrictive MAF.

right now you can hear the growl of the SR20 throttle body through the turbo at low RPM's

OK, thanx. I'll have to take another search over here (why is everything so d@mned overpriced in Europe  ) The 3 bar MAPsensor will cost me 'bout 160 euro's (aprox. 180-190 US$) which is pretty crazy for a little piece of electronics...

The 2 bar type is doing aprox. 100 euro's.....pffffff.

I had a Subaru sensor which seems to be broken, it's a pity. But the search for affordable parts makes me tired, used parts are hard to get, new parts are way to expensive over here...

Thanx for the answer.
