TeamSwift is set up to include a section to answer specific questions for all you could ever hope for on your GTi. As such, posts must go under the appropiate heading. The general section, although convenient, is not the section where you can just post everything in. If it applies to suspension, wheels it belongs in the suspension section. If the post applies to the forced induction section, it belongs in the forced induction section. If it is for sale do not post it under the turbo section, as well as the for sale section. Post it only under the for sale/wanted/buy/sell section. Double posts will be deleted.

Respecting the nature and either complexity, or simplicity of your fellow neighbourhood is the only conduct allowed on this forum. Appropiate member behaviour and reasonable questions and replies are a must. All small talk, racial slurs, direct verbal attacks will result in implementation of the "TeamSwift 3 Strikes" rule. Immediate temporary ban in case of the first strike, and immediate permanent ban in case of the 3rd strike. The rule can be strecthed to accomodate simple minds with repeatedly inappropiate behaviour to a single strike rule, and it can be played out in the 3 stirke format. The temporary bans will range from a few days to a few weeks. How it plays out will be judged according to the members willingness to respect the intellect of others as well as his own well being. You will take all personal problems off the forum to your own personal email battles, or your own personal life.

In order to ensure that the forums remain beneficial and accessable to everyone, we ask that you follow these simple rules.

:!: PLEASE DO NOT WRITE YOUR ENTIRE POST IN CAPS. This is the internet equivalent of shouting, and there is hardly a forum in existence that would condone it.

:!: Please pay attention to the topic of your messages, and check that you are posting it in the appropriate section or it may be deleted (if your lucky, just moved).

:!: It is almost never appropriate to send the same message to two forums. This clutters up the forum with unnessessary posts.

:!: In the body of your message, please use complete sentences and words, and make sure proper spelling and punctuation is observed. DO NOT USE SMS LINGO. This is the most important part of how you appear to others on the forum, and you will get a lot more respect from users if you take the time to write your posts correctly, proper english is the language of this forum.

:!: Please note the EDIT function. Rather than double posting, hit the edit button and change/add to your post. If you make a double post,or wish to remove a post, you can delete using the little X in the top right of any posts made by you.

:!: Search the forums before you post your topic. Your question or comment may have already been discussed, answered, or resolved.
Please avoid asking questions that could be answered by doing a little research on your own part. Do not rely on forum users to supply you with all the answers on a plate. This will also avoid your post being flamed.

:!: Be patient. All the participants of this forum are using the forum and participating in discussions on their own time. If your question is not answered immediately, do not clutter up the forum by "bumping" topics unnessessarily.

:!: Give feedback. If someone helps you by answering your question, try to add a follow-up response letting them know if it worked or not.

:!: Create a concise subject that adequately summarizes your topic. For example: "Engine troubles " rather than "I need help."

:!: Write a well worded question and description.. Be descriptive don’t ask for help by saying my car makes a “blah” noise when I drive it, give the best possible explanation you can. It will also help people replying answer you more accurately.

:!: Flaming will not be tolerated. If you disagree with someone, find a constructive way of resolving the issue. Do not resort to swearing and putting others down. We are all here to share ideas and experiences.

:!: Signature graphics and text shouldn’t be too big, keep it tidy. The acceptable limit in size for this forum is 300x100 pixels.

:!: Emotions; unlike a face-to-face conversation or a telephone call, words "spoken" on the Internet have no inflection. There is no way to tell by looking at a sentence whether it was spoken with an angry frown or a sly grin. Therefore, you may want to let your readers know what sort of expression you are wearing when you say certain things. In most Internet forums, this is accomplished by using "emoticons", text-based faces which express a smile or a frown or a playful taunt or even a kiss :-* You can also write out the full expression you wish to express. In this way, you can have a :) ,a :( ,or even a  .

:!: Read other's posts CAREFULLY before you reply. This will avoid replying with incorrect information.

:!: If someone asks a question, and you are not confident you know the answer, then refrain from posting and let a more qualified person answer it. This is especially important with regards to technical enquiries, as any incorrect information you post may cause harm or injury to others.

Thank you for reading these rules. If all members do their best to follow them, the Teamswift forum will remain a usefull resource for all Suzuki owners and enthusiasts.

If you feel that there is something missing from this list, please reply with your suggestion.

Thank-You

Here's an important tip.

no-one likes to deal with shopping lists of common questions...

This site is a HUGE archive of knowledge, browse, dig, search, explore,
and when you can't find the answer you're looking for,
put some time into your question and include pictures whenever possible.
see Lihtans FAQ on how to upload pictures
