Hello, I recently rebuilt the old 1.0 engine in my 1994 geo metro & I noticed oil plugs on either side of the oil pump. Is it possible to connect hoses to these ports & run the engine oil through the transmission cooler in the bottom of the radiator? This is on a manual transmission vehicle, thanks.

Why do you have a transmission cooler on a manual transmission? While it is possible I would buy the fairly cheap oil relocator kit and run an actual oil cooler up front if needed.

I've heard it said that the automatic transmission cooler is too restrictive to use for engine oil. Don't know if that's a fact, or if it was just conjecture in a "what if?" kind of thread, but the fittings are smaller than what you would normally see on an oil cooler.
