I recently got a hold of some factory fog lights. I really don't like the incandescent bulbs as much as I like the led/hid bulbs. I can live with it but I really want a set of real led bulbs.

What are you guys running? Halogen? Hid? Led?

I doubt you will find any thing more than a factory replacement. Having that said; I duno that their is a higher wattage bulb available. Any thing else, you will have to modify new L.E.D fog lights to your car. You can find old post on different options members have come up with. But don't butcher you're Oem's. They are extremely hard to find, and they sell very well in the market world wide. NO BS :afro:

I definitely won't chop them up. I'm going to try a couple of hid and some led light my brother has. I am going to try some of the led bulbs with the fan less setup. I don't know if it will stick out too far to fit under the cap

I accidentally melted one of the housings. I left all my lights on for a roadside assistance of a wrecked car for 30 mons and had the car running. The driver side melted above and below the bulb. Small holes, but now it's not sealed and there is plastic residue on the inside of the lense. I don't know what to do to fix them.

You can try a fiber glass patch.

What about the chrome reflector material? I can go look for the stuff to repair it. Never had to do a repair like this. I'm not afraid to try it though.

I have two DealExtreme LED's. Looks nice and bright! Problem is, design is not waterproof so I have repaired them a zillion times. 3 diodes in series with a resistor. One chain is therefore allways broken.. either the LED fails or resistor corrodes. tried to use rust preventive oil inside this time. Drilled a small hole in bottom. Problem is LED don't make enough heat to dry it out for moisture.
