Does anyone know why the aftermarket springs, such as the "H&R 29803 Sport Spring Kit" are advertised "Not for Convertible"?

I did the cut '98 spring trick on my white 'vert and really appreciate how it helped. (plus anti-sway bars and new KYB's)

Are there any actual safety issues or anything less than healthy in using the H&R's on a Convertible?

'91 Metro 3 cyl. 'vert. 5 speed beater, built as a fun daily driver.
'92 Metro 3 cyl. 'vert. Auto, all factory clean.

Probably different rear spring... I am pretty sure convertible is based on 4dr metro ( sedan and 5dr hatchback)

BUT I might be wrong.

Only I can think of safety is "cut spring" but it is fine as long as you know what to do. Generally the aftermarket spring is better... not always... depends on spring rate.

sorry bout my bad english

i have used the h&r sport springs on a half dozen verts with no issues.

i'm getting ready to put them on my red twincam vert as soon as my powder coated parts come back.
