Trying to quickly get heat rolling in my swift, doesn't have a thermostat in it and was wonderig if another models thermostat will fit and work properly, like as in would the 1.3sohc from a 95+ fit or would a 1.0 fit? I know they both have the same temperature rating

I believe there is two different temperature of thermostat... Just pick lower one since small G10 block warm faster than G13 block. All G engine is interchangeable as I believe.

Just bring the old one to the auto part shop and compare.

Good idea, I'll have a look tomorrow and see if there is any difference, didn't think about going and looking.

On a lighter note.....that sidewalk though. Our city would be all over the homeowner to repair or replace the sidewalk (Homeowner liability) and trim that grass...

that sidewalk is not the owners responsibility- all the owner is required to do is shovel the snow.
I work for a company that does LOTS of concrete replacement-homeowners are surprised to find out that the city owns the land up to the water valve!

in his case, all he can do is complain about it to the city-they might replace the damaged panels, or grind it down and fill the cracks.

dealing with city hall is a bitch.

Just put a thermostat in it. It'll never warm up quickly without one.
