I bought a What I thought was a G13B engine but it turned out to be a g13A (1324 cc) block with the twincam head on it. My plans were to build a turbo engine but now I don't know what to do. Would this make a good turbo engine ? I'm guessing that the stroke is longer because they both have 74mm bore. I won't know which pistons are in it till I tear it down but I'm thinking it has the 8 valve ones in it.

You can put G13B head on G13 block but if you don't know what to do... I don't recommend the Frankenstein style swap... Unless you will spend your time to search everything about G13B information (included manual) because if you have any problems in the future then you need to know what to diagnosis and solve the issue.

The G13A doesn't have the forged crank and rods. There's a high risk you'll bend a rod or break something.

You are right... Sorry I forget to add...

If the block has G13B labeled then it does have forged crank and rod but it's only available in 95+ as they upgraded as they called G13BA (8v SOHC) or G13BB (16v SOHC). Pre 95+ block called G13A.

I think the only forged parts came in the GTi engine.

Edit: and also in the turbo 3 engine.
