Once you get the cars dialed-in (compression, leaks, bearings, alignment, brakes) swap in new rubber and glass, you've got something which should last for years!

Is it mint?
Does it come with tires?
Has Tommy ever sat in it?

Lose the wood steering wheel and get the cat back on. That would help justify $3k..

knowing a stocker geo metro is worth More then a near stock rebuilt Suzuki Swift GT...OUCH! BIG TIME.
Hate me yes ? but look at this as a litmus test for were the market is for our favorite car's "The Swift GT"

One has nothing to do with the other.

It's an anomaly. High gas prices, a poor economy, and lack of knowledge has created an artificial demand for the Metro. People are not buying it for the right reasons, but on perception, and speculation is driving prices up. If the demand was real, people would know that the GT is nicer, makes double the power and gets about the same fuel economy that a typical Metro gets, but they don't. It's a blip in the radar just like it was last time.

Pretty soon they'll both be worth nothing, just like it should be

I've figured it out!! I now know how JV&S gets so many Sprints/Swifts/Metros. If you look to the right of the garage, There are two sprints parked. They are either copulating, or one is parked on a hill :?: :?: . Maybe Tommy could clarify this for us. :D
Good luck with the (maybe) sale, You could also post it on Craigslist, and I could re-post it here as a "Not Mine" Listing.
Best wishes, Jonathan

I wouldn't sell my Gt for that kind of money and it's not in as good of shape. These are not Geo Metros where they made a sh!tload of them. They are rare cars and they deserve a price of a rare car. I sold three Metros in 08 (when the price of gas was 45 cents higher than now) for $3500 each and the people were happy to get them and get away from 12 mpg in there suvs. Stand your ground on the price or raise it up to where it should be.
