Now that's a stupid comment. There's nothing to hide on this car. Tinted front windows are illegal in at least BC and Alberta.

WOW, if only i did not have another project waiting in the wings (My Wife's '84 Supra), this is a work of art.

a car like this is one in a million, you can't find a better example of a Show and GO!
I remember the first time i saw this car in 2003 at a Dyno Day at RCTS in Calgary put on by none other than Team Swift founding father Kyle (Whattheeee). a truly awesome build and its in just as good a shape as it was then 11 years ago when i first laid eyes on her.

this car has been built with all the good bits in mind, Wilf is a great guy with a huge attention to detail, not willing to compromise on anything.

good luck with the sale Wilf!

Thanks for the kind words - !!!

We recently took her out to the Festiva Western Canada meet - enjoyed every km and all the people we met! Makes me doubt there are people as interested in her 900 km 49 MPG if I kept it around 100kph over all we got 38 MPG imp
Not bad concidering the cam and afew sprints.

woohooo....

I would rather buy the 7k$ one with a 6k km rebuilt engine and aaaaaaaaaaall the goodies, than the stock 8k$ with 68k km whos been sitting in a garage, maybe dried out seals and sitting oil that lost its qualities.
A 25 year old car with low mileage that doesnt drive around will be second pick for me, more than one that has 200k km that has been serviced and taken care of all its life.

my 2 cents

It makes me very happy to see such a clean example of a Turbo Swift for sale in Alberta. Years ago I was inspired by TeamSwift founding father Kyle (Whattheee) to turbocharge my own Swift GT. I've since moved on and sold the Swift, but even though I now drive an E39 M5 (which I love!), there are still days I miss the theatrics of wild torque steer, and the marvellous "sleeper" factor that can only come from a turbo Swift. Many a mustang 5.0 fell prey to the mighty Suzuki...

Good luck with your sale. I wish I was in the position to buy this now, I only hope that in a few years when I'm ready for another project car to work on with my son, that something this clean will still be available.

Beautiful car!

an e39 m5! high revving v8 power that can give you a seat of the pants feel from a mere 2200 rpm that only bmw can achieve. i too am a swift gti owner with two gti's but i also have an s55 amg kompressor and my next car will be an e60 m5! variety is the best thing

I too was inspired by Kyle and Adam - remember spenting a day at a dyno day in Calgary once with him discussed and learned alot about tuning etc.

It still is one of my favorite cars - it may well just sit comfortably to tease a few people on the road from time to time.

Or It may well yet see a few additions - if it stays. The main thing for me is that: the body/interior is basicaly original

And looks almost new at 10 ft -

Mmmmmmm, I do love me some AMG... So many torques! And they always sound so monstrous. E60 is a great way to go too. The price has come down on them soooo much, it would be silly NOT to buy one. My friend recently purchased a Dinan E63 M6, and it is phenomenal!!! That V10 sounds like a choir of angels chasing a swarm of Banshees.

I love my E39 though. The torque comes on so early, and the individual throttle bodies create such an instantaneous acceleration. As someone who has only owned boosted cars previously, It's quite a change...

For sure, It's still a favourite to me. Every time I see a 1.3GT (Which isn't too often) I'm drawn by the lines of it. In my opinion, it's the best looking hatch out there. Your car has the same taillights as mine did. (The best ones IMO).

I sold my Swift after I bought a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. I was tired of the front wheel drive, and was looking for more traction. The Pulsar was a blast in the snow, but it was kind of a step down in terms of performance, (I ran identical 13.4s 1/4 mile times with both cars, but in the Swift I was spinning like crazy through first, second, and part of third. I think with a proper diff, and decent tires, I could have easily knocked a second off that timeslip.)

Unfortunately the Pulsar was a big step down in terms of fun. The turbo on the Swift just spooled so quickly, and it was such a handful, that I would say it's on the short list of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven...

Anyways, I don't mean to derail this thread with reminiscent ramblings. Somebody buy this thing! you won't regret it...
