Does anyone know if 3t tech is still producing cams or anything I've sent them several emails with no responses :(

I recently bought a 1990 geo metro 3cyl it has the wide ratio transmission and 14"rims/tires it is slow

Image

And have been slowly fixing stuff after I get the exhaust (1.5" strait pipe down pipe back) and fix the headlights it should be in the position to start adding power if this lil car had an extra 25hp it would be just great I'm thinking

Head/cam (if available)
Headers
13" rims and tires

Am I on the right track here? I'd like to just throw a g10t in there but cannot find them in the us

Yes he does cams still. His email is g10pro@rocketmail.com
I talked to him recently I think he is away.
You NEED to find the 1.0l tranny. The long gearing not only kills your power but gives you worse mileage too.
Find some light weight 14's or 13's
There's only so much you can do with a 3 cyl for power

bump the compression up...shaved head and/ or higher comp pistons.
4.10 trans will get you off the line quicker, as well as a lightened 1.3 flywheel/clutch combo upgrade well make it rev quicker.
2 inch exhaust, free flowing muffler (cat as well, if needed to pass smog) port match head/ exhaust manifold.
(I was told by 3-tech not to bother with the intake side, unless its a turbo car)
advanced cam sprocket/ camshaft will really help.
under-drive crank pulley.
lightweight 13 or 14 inch tires/ wheels
shed some weight-large stereo systems/un-needed items make you slower.
or try to find a CANADIAN T3 for a COMPLETE turbo swap- :-P good luck! :-P
or go full out g13b twincam swap
or add nitrous......

lots of options out there.
be patient with mike (3-tech) he is a busy man, has lots (if not all!) of the knowledge needed to make these cars move!
some of the other forum members are pretty good, too!

Thanks for the quick replies!

How can I identify the 4.10 transmissions? We have a few yards in the area

I've done everything I can as far as weight reduction and still have a decent daily driver I think the main problem is the transmission Its way slower then my old Mercedes 240d

I'll also wait for a response and pop a head/cam in there

Well I can safely say a 1.5"strait pipe with no resonators or muffler is way to loud

try a weber 32/36 carb. i did some math, and its flows something like 30% more that the stock mk1 carb. and the TBI on the 91 3cly seem close to the same area.
3tech cam.
or you can go wild and go with triple one barrel carbs. get some one to weld you an intake for them. tuning is a pain, but its a massive upgrade.
oh and dont forget a wideband o2 for any tuning on your car.
if your looking for simple, go with NOS.
