Got a hold of a 1.6 and I have been looking for junkyard upgrades but can't find any info. Anyone know if Honda rods or yota rods or etc. will swap with machine work?

Look at Honda d16 rods I guess if you want the most similar.
Will need oversize bearings ( +1mm iirc ) and not to mention the honda rod is a couple mm shorter ( even tho it is the same stroke and bore ) and will drop compression big time.
The g16 rods arent too bad if you arent going to be revving the engine over 6.5k or you are increasing the power with forced induction.
I do intend to run custom length aftermarket honda rods in the future.

Stock Honda D16 rods...even the best ones from the D16A1, are even weaker than a stock Suzuki G16 rod.

that cant be true or possible since g16 engines always let go on the rod bolts and the D16 never do or bend rods.
Ive had the d16 honda rods in my hands and are stronger castings with more material than G16. Even the daihatsu hd 1.6 rod was better and unknown to let go at the rod bolt like the g16a and b do.
