Alright,

First off, I know nothing about the potential these cars have. All I know is that this car I bought for $400, is mint, runs, drives, looks and sounds good. I have a 1996 Geo Metro 1.3L automatic. So in the beginning there was only one mod done to it, the short ram-air intake. Shortly after I purchased energy suspension universal D shaped sway bar bushings and installed them. Now as the subject of the post stated sounding stupid and making alot angry, I am purchasing another 96 with the same specs, minus the mods. Now my question is, is there any physical way or even theoretical way possible to swap in a 2.2l ecotec out of a 2003 sunfire/cavalier into a swift or metro?

your best bet is get a 2.3L out of an aerio.
its the same size as the 1.8L that came in the sidekicks
should be a bit easier to fit than a ecotec

i recently found a donor car with the same engine and transmission as mine so i am going to use the 1.3 in the other car to make a turbo motor, but im unsure of somethings.... would it be better to just put forged pistons and rods or hyper pistons and forged rods...or to have the 1.3 bored out to a 1.5 or a 1.6 and the put over sized pistons and rods in it? as well does anyone know where i can get a 5 speed transmission and shifter linkages and pedal setup for a 96 metro 2dr hatch?

well that does look pretty neat but i'm leaning more towards a turbo, i have an IHI turbocharger off of a ford 2.3l turbo engine, along with the intercooler, and i was wondering am I better off to put the same sized pistons and rods that are in it already but forged or hypers, or would i be better off to have it bored out to a 1.5/1.6 and put in oversized forged pistons and rods?

get a block from a 1.6 esteem/sidekick. head from a 1.3 dohc (GT),
or just get a gt motor, bore it to 75mm and use the sidekick pistons wtih gt rods =)
