i need a set of side skirts for my newest vert resto-rod project.

shipping to columbus ohio. color doesn't matter. i'd even take a mixed color set as long as i can get all 4 pieces.

Interested in a trade maybe???

I "might" have a set sitting in my shed looking to be adopted... =)

*Edit*

Damn! Just saw that you'd already found a set.

I have a full set for 89-92 GT including the bumpers and wing all for the right price or I'd take $100 shipped to the lower 48 for 3 of the 4 side skirts. (were missing the passenger rear piece and would like to keep that piece or if I can find that piece I could sell mine as a complete set. Let me know via PM if interested, make an offer on any or all. Thanks.
Scott

3 of the 4 pieces for the side skirts wouldn't move my project along, it would have just left me looking for the 4th piece.

jaguar, vettes&sprints hooked me up with a full set. thanks anyway.

What are you going to use to seal it to the body or are all the original seals in good enough condition ?

i've mounted 4 or 5 sets of the gt skirts to verts without the seals or the rails that were welded onto the rockers of the gt cars.

i don't care about the seals and i don't even try to seal them. water just passes through and out the bottoms. the single slide mounting point on the front and double mounting points on the rear hold them tight to the sides. the screws in the front and rear wheel wells and all the ones at the bottoms secure the skirts well enough that i've never lost anything, even at highway speeds.

Would double sided tape work to hold the top parts tight to the body ?

ken, i never tried 3m tape. i set a pan head sheet metal screw into the pockets of the side skirts that attach to the plastic knobs on the swift fenders and rear quarters. i line the skirts up using the vert's side molding strips and tap the skirts over the attachment points with my fist to make a dent with the pointy screws. then i drill a small pilot hole, smear rtv on the threads of the sheet metal screws, and run them in leaving enough of a gap between the head of the screw and the bodywork to slip the side skirts' pockets onto the screw.

i use sheet metal screws coated with rtv to hold the bottoms of the skirts to the bottoms of the rockers. after that, the skirts aren't going anywhere. there's a small gap below the doors but not enough to bother with. like i said, water runs right through, doesn't get trapped, and doesn't rot out my cars.

i've never lost skirts mounted that way, even at highway speeds (or better.)
