I'm going to be running a G10 from a '91 Metro in a buggy and am hoping for 75hp at the wheels. I'll be running an Eaton M45 and I'm going to be trying very hard to keep the system as simple as possible, but how much boost should be required to reach that goal? How much boost can I get away with using only a boost reference FPR?

the rule of thumb for boost is 10 hp for every pound of boost.

the factory rated the production g10 at 55 hp. tired engines, maybe 35 or 40 hp.

electronic engine management and the throttle body injector on a normally aspirated g10 engine will be difficult to deal with.

Thanks. So since my goal is pretty slight (by your reckoning +/-5psi) would a rising rate fuel pressure regulator be enough to handle the additional fuel required or do I need to look at other avenues?

I'm going to have to respectfully object to this. That statement would mean that two lbs of boost would take a stock engine to 75 hp, the reality is that it takes about ten. I'm thinking that 75 Whp (please notice the W, that makes a HUGE difference) is going to require 15 lbs of boost with good intercooling. A stock engine is not going to take that, and I doubt it can be done without multiple injectors and aftermarket engine management.

That should do it, though I think you'll need a little more than 5 psi to make 75 WHP. .

People have run 3-4 psi with no extra fuel Just make sure to use a better than stock fuel pump if you go that route. At flow it doesn't make much more than stock pressure.

Also search here for CTS mod. That alone may do the job for low boost. It's crude, but the rest of the motor and fueling is too, and it does work.

Well, honestly I'll have no idea what kind of whp I'm actually making...I highly doubt I'll ever get the thing on a dyno. But my end goal is 10psi, with my intention of starting around 5psi to see how things go.
