My 2000 swift has an issue with it jumping out of 5th when under a light load such as accelerating or going up a slight hill, if i hold the shifter in place it holds the gear but kicks it our if i take my hand off of it. Could this be the syncro? i bought a syncro/bearing and seal kit when i got the car and have compared the syncros the one in the car had the teeth worn down some, so maybe it was just not holding? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

If its not something simple like worn engine mount or bent shifter rod its almost always the 5th gear synchronizer hub, usually the 3 long engagement teeth that the keys slide over, you may find you'll need to replace 5th gear as well as the 5th synchronizer hub, could be extra worn due to low oil level.
